Participate: a community value exchange to help remove obstacles to transformational governance

The Transformational Governance Collective is excited to launch a community value exchange! We aim to help you transform the governance of your team, organisation or network, by coordinating an exchange of skills, knowledge, time, resources and more. Whilst our emphasis is on the wide and varied array of resources that we can exchange as a community, we do have £50-£60k from Lankelly Chase that we can distribute to support this process.

The opportunity

We currently imagine facilitating a live process during which members of the community will:

We plan to design the process with input from the community across 3 exploratory sessions in March. From these sessions, we hope to gain an understanding of what obstacles you are currently facing in shifting governance and what would help to unblock them; and what you would need to participate in a process like this.

Who is this for?

Teams, organisations and networks who are “ready to move” on transforming their governance, but who need input in the form of knowledge, coaching, analysis, resources (financial or otherwise), or something else, to get moving. Freelancers who are working to support others to shift their governance are also welcome. Crucially, you will be interested in actively participating in a learning experiment. You might be seeking to shift your culture, power dynamics, legal structure or something else. See here for an exploration of ‘What we mean by governance’.

How can I get involved?

Sign up for exploratory sessions on 21st or 26th March 2024 which will inform the design of the value exchange. The invitation to apply to participate will follow in late Spring.

What to expect from the sessions in March:

A chance to connect with an exciting group of people working on related topics across sectors. An opportunity to help us shape the value exchange programme. A supported live exploration of yours or another’s governance challenge.

We have designed the exploratory sessions to be 2 hours to allow us not to rush, to take time to make connections and have in-depth discussions. There will be a break in the middle. We welcome you to arrive in a way that is comfortable to you, for example if you will need to eat and drink or change positions. Please note that you will ideally need to join from a laptop to get the most out of the session as we will use a virtual whiteboard to collaborate. Where possible, we will allow for multiple avenues for participation to suit different needs, including the option for silent reflection as an alternative to break-out conversations. More details will be shared closer to the event.
